Cloud 4 in the Spotlight: Cloud 4 hub for joint U-lab 2026 participation

In our previous spotlight posts, we presented

• Cloud 4 and the profound and necessary upgrade to Education 4.0,
• Cloud 4’s roots in MIT’s Theory U and presencing,
• and last but not least the u-lab MOOC, with the invitation to join Cloud 4 in the 2026 edition of u-lab.

Cloud 4 will participate as a u-lab hub, a group of Cloud 4/u-lab participants that comes together (in person or virtually) to learn and co-create using the frameworks and methods offered through u-lab. Cloud 4 will organise several meetings where all hub participants can connect in coaching circles to practice the powerful u-lab methods directly to their life and work. This is learning by doing.

In u-lab, systems thinking, consciousness, wisdom traditions, and civic action are blended into a method for leading profound change. U-lab runs actively from September 24 until November 19 – more details below - and a week later, at the EAPRIL 2026 conference in Cork, we will share our u-lab experiences, learnings and creations during the Cloud 4 spotlight session, and cocreate further Cloud 4 activities for 2027.

We are happy to announce that enrollment for our Cloud 4/u-lab hub is now open!

This means that you can now take action - until September 24 - to enroll in u-lab and to join Cloud 4’s educational u-lab journey. The Cloud 4/u-lab hub is open to everyone who is interested in innovation in education – improving learning and well-being - whether you plan to be at the conference or not.

How to Join

U-lab runs across two platforms, and participating means enrolling on both.

Step 1 — Register on u-school, your home base for the community, tools, and all course communications.

Step 2 — Enrol on MIT Learn, where the core course content lives, and where you'll choose the free track or the optional $99 verified certificate.

Step 3 — Inform the EAPRIL office - info@eapril.org - before September 24 about your participation in the Cloud 4/u-lab hub.

Timeline U-lab 2026

September 10, 2026 — Orientation opens. The Orientation Module becomes available two weeks before the first live session, so you can get acquainted with the course format and platform — and set up your learning journey.

September 24 – November 19, 2026 — Facilitated course (8 weeks), including live broadcast sessions from MIT. All program materials will be made available.

Live Sessions (Thursdays, 10:00–11:30 ET):

• September 24 — Live Session I
• October 22 — Live Session II
• November 19 — Live Session III

Ask-Us-Anything (Thursdays, 9:00–10:00 ET):

• October 8 — Ask-Us-Anything I
• November 5 — Ask-Us-Anything II

November 19, 2026 – May 31, 2027 — Self-paced access. The full course remains available as a self-paced learning experience. (The course is not monitored during this period.)
