PRESENT & DISCUSS
Present and Discuss Sessions allow presenters to present their research and findings in an in-depth manner. These presentations are individually submitted and have already data and results to present.
Symposia provide an opportunity to present research on one topic, often from multiple perspectives, compiling a coherent set of papers for discussion. Symposia sessions are directed by a chair, involving three presenters and one discussant.
A poster communicates the main ideas, objectives, results and conclusions of an ongoing research project. Each presenter will be given 5 minutes to present his/her poster. Afterwards, the delegates can walk around, ask questions or start an in-depth discussion with the presenters.
FLIPPING THE SESSION
The flipping-the-session includes an online introductional video with the research results and interview quotes or other dynamic aspects of the study and a face to face discussion during the conference.
The practitioner is invited to present a case from practice while paying attention to the factors which have made it successful as well as identifying the bottlenecks and challenges. Afterwards, an in-depth discussion about the case takes place.
ROUND TABLE SESSION
A roundtable session offers the chance to discuss your on-going project or the results, experiences or future directions of a finished research project with other practitioners (-researchers) during an in-depth discussion
In a workshop presenters can demonstrate a tool that has been developed through research, show a new teaching method as a result of the project or illustrate collaborative inquiry strategies used in research. Learning-by-doing, hands-on experience, and engaging in in-depth active learning are crucial in a workshop.
The review process is the most important aspect of organising the EAPRIL conference, as the outcome of this process will determine the quality of the participants' experience. As a result, EAPRIL strives to ensure that the process is rigorous and transparent.
